The event brought together a delightful mix of friends, alumnae, parents, and grandparents, with everyone having a most enjoyable time. The format and the team selections all worked exceptionally well on the beautifully presented Gog Magog course.
Throughout the day, players enjoyed friendly competition, before everyone gathered afterwards for the presentation of prizes by St Mary’s Head, Hannah Helliar, followed by an excellent meal.
Hannah thanked everyone for supporting the Society’s first golf day, and for continuing to support the wider school community. Special thanks were given to Ingrid Walter, alumna and keen golfer, whose hard work and enthusiasm ensured the event ran so smoothly and successfully.
With such a positive response from all involved, the first St Mary’s Golf Society Day has laid the foundations for what promises to become a much-anticipated annual event.
"Today was great fun and brilliantly organised. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."
"Thank you so much for a fabulous day. Everything ran smoothly, we all enjoyed the golf and the company."
